Tiger Woods’ girlfriend apologizes in TV interview

Dec 10th, 2009 by Bilal Ali

Jamiee Grubbs won’t go so far as to say she was in love. But she does know she’s sorry.

Grubbs, the cocktail waitress and cast member of VH1’s Tool Academy who claims to have been intimate with Tiger Woods 20 times over the last three years, has apologized to the golfer’s wife, Elin Nordegren.

“I couldn’t describe how remorseful that I am to have hurt her family,” Grubbs, 24, tells Extra.

Grubbs says that while she wasn’t with Woods for “superficial reasons” and that she “didn’t do it to purposely hurt” his wife, she stops short of saying she loved him.

“Love is obviously a very strong word for me to even use,” she says. “I wouldn’t necessarily say that I didn’t love him. But I couldn’t … I didn’t let myself get that far.”

As for any future with Woods, she she’s not sure what she’d do if he and his wife split.

“I can’t say that I would ever go back to him,” Grubbs says. “I would definitely have a relationship with him whether it was friends or just to have him in my life,” she says. “But as far as going back to him emotionally like I was – I don’t know if I can put myself through that again.”
