Braylon Edwards charged with misdemeanor assault

NY Jets baller Braylon Edwards has officially been charged with misdemeanor assault. Remember when he punched out Lebron James‘ BFF Edward Givens outside a nightclub for no apparent reason? Well homeboy pressed charges and Bray faces up to 6 months in jail and a $1000 fine.
The charge carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. Arraignment was scheduled for Nov. 17 in Cleveland Municipal Court. Patrick D’Angelo, an attorney for Edwards, said his client will plead not guilty.
Edwards, a native of Detroit who played at Michigan, is accused of punching promoter Edward Givens, a friend of NBA star LeBron James, following an argument Oct. 5. Two days later, the Browns traded Edwards to the Jets. The Jets said they knew of the allegations before the trade.
He may get suspended a few games as well.
