Boy Drowns At Vegas Home Of NFL Great Randall Cunningham

Las Vegas Metro Police said a 2-year-old boy drowned Tuesday at the 300 block of Robindale Road near Warm Springs and Bermuda roads.
The child was found floating in a hot tub at the home just before 5 p.m., police said.While the police said they cannot confirm who owns the home, Clark County property records show the home is owned by former National Football League star Randall Cunningham. The records also show the house has a pool.Police declined to release the child’s identity, but confirmed that the boy was the son of the property owner.Cunningham wasn’t home at the time of the drowning, but was flying into town when the drowning happened, sources told FOX5.Other family members were at home at the time of the drowning, police said.“It appears that it’s just a complete tragedy,” said Metro Lt. Dennis Flynn. “It only takes a brief minute for someone to take their eye off the child.”Cunningham played for the Eagles for 11 seasons as a quarterback and punter. After a short hiatus, he joined the Minnesota Vikings for two years in 1997, followed by a season each with the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Ravens.He was awarded the National Football League’s Most Valuable Player three times during his football career.Since retiring from football in 2001, Cunningham became ordained as a minister and, in 2004, founded Remnant Ministries in Las Vegas. According to his church’s website, Cunningham and his wife Felicity have four children.Cunningham was expected to graduate from UNLV in 1985, but was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles that year.He finished his degree 20 years later and walked in the graduation ceremony to show his children the importance of finishing their goals.
