Soulja Boy Buys $55 Million Birthday Jet for Himself

Talk about turning his swag on.
In honor of his birthday, Soulja Boy dug $55 million deep in his pockets for a new private jet, a member of his management team tells TMZ.
The “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” and “Turn My Swag On” rapper, born DeAndre Cortez Way, who turned 21 on Thursday, spent $35 million on the actual Gulfstream G5 jet and is dropping another $20 million on upgrades. The Pimp My Ride-worthy improvements include custom Italian leather seats, flat screen TVs, four liquor bars, a customized travertine-tiled floor, a revamped bathroom and Brazilian hardwood cabinets.
And the rapper isn’t stopping at the interior: he’s also shelling out cash for a custom paint job that will feature his logo.
Soulja Boy is also throwing a birthday party in Miami Friday night, which reportedly set him back $300,000. Sean Kingston, Bow Wow and Dwight Howard were among those who made the guest list for the bash, which will be streamed live – for a fee – on his website.
