Last week, John Edwards made the shocking admission that he had cheated on his wife Elizabeth.

Now, it seems, the politician might not have completely come clean about his affair with 44-year-old aspiring filmmaker Rielle Hunter, who filmed a behind-the-scenes video for his campaign in 2006.

According to The National Enquirer, Hunter was whisked away on a private jet just two days before he confessed their affair on national TV.

Edwards secretly visited Rielle and her now 6-month-old daughter three separate times at the Beverly Hilton hotel in L.A. this year, The Enquirer also reports.

The magazine caught the onetime presidential candidate, 55, making a late-night visit to Rielle and her daughter on July 21—and ran a photo of Edwards holding the baby, who they say is his love child with Rielle.

After Edwards confessed the affair to his wife, he restarted it, according to The Enquirer, and he was sexually involved with Rielle when she became pregnant.

In an interview with ABC’s Nightline correspondent Bob Woodruff on Aug. 8, the former North Carolina senator characterized his affair with Rielle as “short” and said it began and ended in 2006.

Edwards added that he confessed “the mistake” to wife Elizabeth, 59, who is battling terminal cancer. (He also said Elizabeth was in remission when the affair took place.)

Still, Edwards denied he’s the father of Rielle’s baby, who was born on Feb. 27, 2008.

But sources close to Hunter told The Enquirer last December that she confided to close friends that Edwards was the father.

Edwards told ABC he would “be happy” to take a DNA test, but Hunter has said she has no interest in pursuing paternity testing.
