Woman Charged Extra At Nail Salon For Being Overweight

A woman in Georgia is fuming over a trip to the nail salon that went from pleasant to embarrassing.
According to WSBTV, Michelle Fonville was given a $5 surcharge from a nail salon for being over 200 pounds to pay for the nail chair in the event it breaks.
“I was embarrassed,†Fonville said. “I had to turn my head away because I wanted to cry.â€
The manager of Natural Nails states that the chairs are not made to handle weight over 200 pounds.
“These chairs are not made to handle heavy weight,†The salon manager said. “She said that $5 isn’t fair, well is it fair for me to have to pay $2,500 because my chairs gave out?â€
Although Fonville was refunded the $5 surcharge, the owner told her that she was no longer welcome to get serviced at the salon.
