12-Year-old girl raped at Woodlawn Skateworks

Aug 18th, 2010 by Bilal Ali

Davon Perry

Police say a 12 year old girl was simply attending a party at Skateworks in Woodlawn Saturday night when she was suddenly pushed into a back room, held down, forced to perform oral sex, then raped by two teens and 24 year old Davon Perry.

Each took their turn the victim said before they were scared off by a sound.

“After the suspects fled from the room, the victim was able to get her clothes back on and notify off duty police officers who were working in the skating rink where she was raped,” sais Baltimore County Police spokesperson Lt. Robert McCullough

It is no coincidence officers were there.

Skateworks has a history of problems and were allowed to stay open this spring by agreeing to let Baltimore County staff officers on premises.

It was the department’s presence that led to the quick arrest of the three suspects.

Kadeem Santiful, 17 and Tracey Hankins, 15 are being charged as adults in this case and are being held without bail along with Perry who we’re told frequented the rink often.

We attempted to speak with the owner of Skateworks who simply replied by email with a statement from her attorney.

It says Skateworks is disheartened by the alleged incident. That night there were roughly one hundred kids on site as well as eight security staff and the three officers.

It goes on to say “Skateworks prides itself on providing a wholesome safe and fun environment for youth and all patrons.”

An environment police say helped foster the violent and forcible rape of a 12 year old girl.
