Keyboardist Marcus Johnson Appearing With Al Roker On National TV

smooth jazz pianist Marcus Johnson will be a guest performer early Monday morning (October 26) when he appears on Wake Up With Al on the Weather Channel. The show is hosted by Al Roker, weather personality for NBC’s Today show. Wake Up With Al airs weekdays at 6 a.m. ET.
Johnson will perform songs from his latest CD, Poetically Justified, which is No. 4 on Billboard’s contemporary jazz chart. One of those songs, “Chillaxin’,” will be featured this coming weekend on the Smooth Jazz Top 20 as an Extra.
Johnson’s recent musical appearances include a show Saturday (October 24) at the Blue Note in New York and a solo performance at the Justice Department in Washington, D.C., for Domestic Violence Awareness Month with US Attorney General Eric Holder in attendance.
