Jonathan Butler Performing Free Show During Black History Month

In celebration of Black History Month, which begins today (February 1), smooth jazz guitarist and vocalist Jonathan Butler has announced that he will perform a special free show on February 28 in Chicago. It will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Universal Temple, 11901 S. Ashland Ave.

Butler will perform solo and with the Temple Ensemble. In addition, Butler will be discussing his life story in words and song. Butler, a native of South Africa, now lives in Southern California.

Butler’s latest smooth jazz CD, Jonathan, features the smooth jazz hits “Fire and Rain” and “Rio.”
