No charges for Chris Henry’s fiancee

The fiancee of Cincinnati Bengals player Chris Henry will not face any charges in connection with his death, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said today.
Loleini Tonga was behind the wheel of a pickup truck Henry jumped onto during a Dec. 16 domestic dispute at her parents’ home, according to police and witnesses.
At the time of the incident, police said Henry, 26, “came out” of the truck on Oakdale Road near Brookshire Boulevard . He died the next morning at Carolinas Medical Center.
During an interview with ESPN’s Outside the Lines Sunday, Tonga said Henry “jumped from the back of the car.”
In a statement announcing Tonga, 25, had been cleared of any charges, CMPD said “there was no evidence of reckless driving or excessive speed.” Investigators determined she was driving no faster than 23 mph.
The coroner’s office ruled the accidental death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head, the statement said.
Tonga told ESPN Henry must have thought he would “land right” when he jumped from the truck.
