Smooth Jazz Network To Debut New Sade Single On Tuesday
Dec 6th, 2009 by Bilal Ali
The Smooth Jazz Network will debut the highly anticipated single by Sade on Tuesday (December 8). The song is the title track to her upcoming CD Soldier of Love. Smooth Jazz Network midday host Miranda Wilson will premiere the song on over 25 radio stations carrying the Smooth Jazz Network on Tuesday morning in the 10 AM hour.
The CD Soldier of Love, to be released worldwide on February 8, is Sade’s first official studio album in more than nine years. Her last, Lovers Rock, was released in November 2000 and featured the smooth jazz singles “By Your Side,” “Somebody Already Broke My Heart” and “Lovers Rock.”
Solider of Love was recorded in England and produced by Sade, her band – featuring Stuart Matthewman, Paul Denman and Andrew Hale – and their longtime collaborator Mike Pela.
Since the release of her debut album, Diamond Life in 1984, Sade has seen all five of her studio albums land in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart, selling more than 50 million albums worldwide to date. Sade’s been nominated for American Music Award and MTV Video Music Awards, and has won three Grammys – first in 1986 for Best New Artist, then in 1994 for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group for “No Ordinary Love,” and again in 2002 for Best Pop Vocal Album with Lovers Rock.
