Southern Indiana center Jeron Lewis died late Thursday after collapsing on the court during a game at Kentucky Wesleyan, school officials said.
Lewis, 21, fell under the basket with about 4 minutes left, said athletic department spokesman Ray Simmons. Lewis was rushed to Owensboro Medical Health Center, where he died just before 10 p.m.

- Richland Parish Sheriff Charles McDonald tells KNOE 8 News an off duty police officer went to another officer’s house this afternoon around 2:30 to visit.
The officer opened the door of his SUV to get out and a 3 year old boy ran to the truck, grabbed a gun in the side door and shot and killed his 3-year old cousin.
