Guitarist and vocalist Jonathan Butler has completed a new CD titled So Strong, his first studio smooth jazz project since 2005’s Jonathan. Since that time, he has offered the gospel project Brand New Day and a DVD/CD combo, Live in South Africa. So Strong will be released by Rendezvous Music, a division of Mack Avenue, on May 11.

The Berks Jazz Fest, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2010, has announced its lineup for next year’s show, which will be held over 10 days from March 19 to March 28. It’s presented by the Berks Arts Council and will have 130 events at various venues, clubs and restaurants throughout Reading and Berks County, PA.

Norah Jones will soon have her own video channel. Hulu, the online venture between NBC, Fox and ABC that offers free TV shows and movies, announced today, November 18, a deal with the EMI music label to give a “channel” on Hulu to the singer.
